Whisky A Go Go is a club on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, CA. A 15-year-old Daisy Jones fell in love with music after sneaking into the club late one night. It became one of her many frequented spots along the Strip.
Plot Summary[]
At the age of 15, Daisy Jones sneaks out of her million dollar home to explore the Sunset Strip. She finds Whisky A Go Go and walks around back to avoid the long line of patrons waiting to go inside. She bums a cigarette off an older boy and he's beckoned inside as it's time for him to perform. He accidentally leaves the door open and Daisy sneaks in behind him. She watches the band perform and falls in love with music, dancing, and the clubs atmosphere. She attended numerous concerts at the Whisky before she became a rock star in her own right.[1]
Shortly after arriving at LA between 1971 and 1972, the Dunne Brothers band perform at Filthy McNasty's, a bar next to Whisky a Go Go. Before their first performance, Billy pauses at the door to McNasty's and looks over at the sign for The Whisky, which reflects in his sunglasses.
In 1974, The Six perform at Whisky a Go Go while under a trial-run from producer Teddy Price. After one particularly intense set, Teddy tells Billy Dunne that it's high time he and the band make an album. Billy shares the news with his band who are overjoyed. They hug one another and then an off-put Teddy, who tries to fend off the sweaty musicians.[2]
